Headers and footers are bits of content, or illustrations, that show up at the top and base of a page. After you set up a header and footer, they will show up on the majority of your pages. The checklist for Header and Footer includes:

The page numbers that we see on books or any other article is basically written in header or footer. It is a must, as it allows us to know on which page we have reached or simply how many pages we have already read.

TITLE OF YOUR COURSEWORK:

The title of the coursework is also written in header or footer. It is an optional that means, if you want to give your title of the coursework that you have written then you can write it in header or footer but if you don’t want to write, you can also skip it.

UNIVERSITY OR COLLEGE LOGO:

If you want to show your college or university logo, then you can provide it in header. It is an optional. If you want to show, you can provide it but if you do not want to show, you can skip it also.

NAME AND ID NUMBER:

Name and ID number can also be provided at header or footer. But if it is allowed then otherwise in some cases it is not provided.
